I am an artist living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. I intend using these pages to exhibit some of my paintings and I'll keep updating them with new work, so come back often!
I work mainly in oils and watercolours and tend to focus on three categories of "portraits". Portraits of people, ships and buildings. Each has their own character, and I try to capture this in my work.
I'm also a recently retired Naval Officer, so you may notice that a high proportion of my work is related to my naval career. Although the two lifestyles may seem very different, I have been able to balance them and draw benefits from the two extremes... in fact, I enjoy the challenge.
I intend dedicating a lot more time to my painting now and I'm planning my next solo exhibition before the end of the year.
Most of my paintings are commissioned, and where possible, I'll indicate the owner of each work.
